The Nebraska Dietetic Association (NDA), established in 1935, was a state affiliate of the American Dietetic Association.  In 2012,  with the name change of the national association, NDA members voted to follow the lead of the national association.  The Nebraska Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (NAND) is an affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. 

Currently, there are  over 630 members of NAND.  These members include: 

·        Registered Dietitian (RD) 

·        Dietetic Technicians Registered (DTR) 

·        Student members 

Many of our members are licensed for medical nutrition therapy (LMNT). 

Certifications are held by some members in related areas such as: 

·        Certified Nutrition Support Clinician 

·        Certified Diabetes Educator 

·        Certified Lifestyle and Weight Management 

·        Board Certification as a Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition 

·        Board Certification as a Specialist in Renal Nutrition 

·        Board Certification as a Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition 

·        Board certification as a Specialist in Oncology Nutrition 

·        Board Certification as a Specialist in Sports Dietetics 

·        International Board Certified Lactation Consultant 

·        Certificate of Training in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management 

·        Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management
